I want something where the job requirements are more straightforward and I don't have to worry about impressing everyone all the time. You always need to be finding ways to improve the product and you need to be working on bigger and bigger things as time goes on. It seems like companies expect you to be really ambitious. But then I feel bad about myself if I do that, so I have to keep pushing myself. If I'm coding something that's going to take two weeks to finish, it's so easy to slack off. Some days it's easy and some days it's very hard, depending on what I'm coding. I want something easier.ĭifficulty is too inconsistent. I find it too stressful, and right now I'm at a point in my life where I just don't need that. I had two programming jobs while I was in school, and I'm starting to think that programming is just not for me.
I graduated in May with a bachelor's degree in computer science. We could always do with more help and wisdom, friend! The better the FAQ, the harder we can come down on lazy posters with low-effort OPs, which means a higher quality subreddit experience for you.
